Crosswired Sock KAL Is Underway! Join us for our Spring Sock Knit-along: Crosswired! Play along, and you might even win a prize! Description: It's good to get your wires crossed every once in a while! Enjoy knitting these two-color socks that feature raised cables on a festive striped background. All color work is done using slipped stitches, so you are never working with more than one color at a time. We've used our favorite no-flap gusset heel, and topped this pair off with a cuff to match those cables. The instructions for this toe-up construction are provided in text and chart formats, for DPN, Two Circular Needle, and Magic Loop methods. No purchase is required to participate in the KAL, but kits are available below in a large variety of color combinations. As always, kits include one of our famous commemorative stitch markers, and the pattern so that you can get an early start on your socks! She is blonde, you know. What You Can Do To Prepare: 1. Purchase your kit below, or decide what yarn you are going to use. The pair of socks uses approximately 175 yards of Color A and 150 yards of Color B (fingering weight yarn). 2. Gauge: Approximately 32 sts = 4" in Stockinette Stitch using recommended needle size US 1. 3. Standard knitting tools will be used, plus a couple of stitch markers, a blunt-tipped needle to weave in ends, and whatever type of needle you use to turn cables (if you use a needle). 4.
